France - Change in VAT registration process

To simplify and streamline the management of formalities for businesses, the French government has recently moved services relating to VAT registration, changes of company details and deregistration to the one stop shop portal "INPI". Nonetheless, companies currently applying for VAT registration in France are experiencing delays in obtaining a VAT number. 

This change does not apply to VAT reporting obligations and same is to be filed using existing impots-gouv platform.
